Herbalist

I have recently went to see an herbalist/nutritionist regarding my infertility issues. I am having the same problems that I had while TTC my son (namely anovulation), and after going the fertility med route and encountering all problems that I did with them, I am trying to avoid that this time if at all possible. I was placed on Red Raspberry, something herbal for my adrenal glands, and a prenatal along with progesterone cream. She also had me begin a gluten-free, very low-estrogen, caffeine-free diet. My question is have any of you went this route, and if so, what was the outcome?

Background on why I'm trying to avoid the fertility drugs: While TTC my son I was eventually advanced to 150 mg of clomid at this point I began having visual disturbances. After this, I began Folistem injections and we did and IUI. I developed severe ovarian hyperstimulation and my ovaries reached 16 cm each. In turn I began producing large amounts of fluid which traveled to my lungs. It mainly accumulated on the right lung and I had a thoracentesis to drain it. They pulled off 2 liters of fluid, however they gave me a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) in the process. I was in ICU for a while, yada, yada, yada. It eventually corrected itself, but if I can avoid all these possibilities I would like to. Don't get me wrong, if its the only way, I'll do it again in heartbeat though...

wow how scary. I haent personally but a friend of mine did something similar to get pregnatn without hormones. good luck!
