Your kid is a brat.

posted 14th Nov
If your child has gone through close to 10 playmates, and still cannot find one that plays well with her, DONT you think it's YOUR child?!

My best friend's daughter, I love her to death, but she is a BRAT. Every single play date my friend tries it never works out because her daughter cannot behave around other kids.
Like the other day she was over and all the kids were doing a puzzle nicely and then she started FLIPPING the smurf out and breaking the puzzle apart and screaming, which resulted in my kids getting upset. Then she slapped Skye in the face and screamed in Maxwell's face. So my best friend picks her up and says we're going home since none of you can play nice.
Uhmmm excuse me?! MY kids were acting perfectly fine and trying to play nicely with her.
but she has done the same thing with all of our friends' kids. STILL she just says "well no kids like her, she just tries to play with them and she gets picked on"

girl you are BLIND. She doesn't get disciplined, which is why my best friend's fiance is about to leave her ( not her daughters father) he told me he cannot handle how the child is, how she is never in trouble, and all the ridiculous tantrums she throws.

I'm really thankful she wants to take a break from letting the kids play. I'm really sick of dealing with that when it's supposed to be a fun play time.

Sorry for ranting I just can't bitch to anyone about it besides my husband and I just need to.

GAH if my kids do smurf like that they get punished and I ADMIT it is them being little turds. WHY are some people like this?!

That would get on my smurfing nerves, too. And I actually feel bad for the little girl because she is never going to learn how to play or make friends if her mother keeps absolving her of any responsibility for her actions...

There's someone like that in SOs family, I HATE DD playing with her. This is going to sound horrible because I know it's the parents fault, but their kid is a bitch, honestly. She makes "clubs" and invites/uninvites whoever she wants, whenever she wants. The kids have to play what she wants, or watch her play. She steals toys in front of my face and lies about it... in fact she lies about everything, she'll say my daughter is being bad and so on for attention. Her mom's response to all of it is "figure it out yourself, you'll have to one day"

Dufuq, she's 4

So we avoid them because their child really upsets mine, and my child can play fine with other kids, lol

Oh yes I know lots of those kids. lol And parents just like that. There kid can do no harm its everyone elses fault and blah blah blah.

I just tell my kids to stick up for themselves and ignore them. lol If another child ever hit my child in the face, depending on if the child was the same age or not, my kids would smack them back. Smurf that.

My kids are allowed to stick up for themselves and even more so if another child ever hit them, thankfully they have never been hit.

I dont really think a time out from playdates will help, unless the parent starts diciplining the child. kwim?

I am in your situation lol. My daughter's friend is a total brat. She plays fine but one time my daughter was sitting down playing with her friend's Littlest Pet shop toys and she ran over there and said "NO! you can't play with these" and took them away. I said to my daughter it's time to go. Not nice at all. Then when we have to leave or they have to leave she throws a fit and tries to hide or gets angry and violent with her mom. Her mom tries to discipline her but the grandma says to leave her alone. Oh boy. I'd tell her straight up, we cannot have any more playdates until your child learns to chill the smurf out lol (well play nice anyways)

That child RUNS my friends life. Like no smurfing joke.
My friend puts her to bed at 8 or 9
and she still runs around the house until like 3 am
and if she gets told to go to bed she lets out those smurfing irritating shrill screams and flips the smurf out until my friend just says FINE you can stay up.
Uhhh smurf that, my kids are in bed at 830 and if they try to pull that smurf they get corrected REAL smurfing fast.
YOU are their parent, act like it.

I have two friends who kids are just days a part, they are both 7 now, 1 boy 1 girl.

The boy was always so mean and hurting her wouldnt share etc.....One day when they were like 2.5 yrs old he slammed her fingers in the drawer and the mom saw and didnt do a thing about, then the girl turned around and headbutted him in the face, and she flipped the smurf out, starting yelling at her, calling her a spoiled brat and so on making her cry. Yelling at the mom and stormed off and left.

This kid is still a brat, he recently was over playing with all the kids at our other friends house, when the landlord came upstairs and said he wanted him off his property because he was swearing at him, when he told him to leave his horses alone.
So the mom started freaking her smurf out on the landlord, making our other friend feel like smurf since its her place and she just moved in. Some ppl cause and creat problems, big time for there kids, its sad.

true true. My daughter knows what happens if she tries to pull any kind of fit (she's 8 too old to be having fits). My in-laws are the same. If she is doing something and tell her to stop, my FIL would be like she's fine leave her alone. I have NOW started to say to my daughter, Kailynn I told you to do something and I EXPECT you to do it. He is NO LONGER going to tell ME what my child is or isn't allowed to do. I am sick of it and I hate people like that. She NEEDS SuperNanny. I'd write her in LOL

Bro, she needs it.
When she says mean smurf to her mom, my best friend just laughs because she thinks it's funny.
She's doing it to herself. When her kid is THAT teenager... she will have no one to blame but herself.
But that child makes me want to put my head in an oven, for smurfing real. She acts fine when it's just me and her because she knows I don't let her get away with ANYTHING. I throw her ass in time out every single thing she does mean, she cries but so what, punishment isn't supposed to make you smile.
