Period cramps

So this months is terrible. I started on Monday which I never do, I usually start Tuesday night Wednesday and it's very light but this time it's heavy every time I wipe. I am cramping WAY more and it hurts. I never had a problem with cramps but this month they hurt. Should I be concerned now all the sudden my period is heavier and lasting longer? It's day 3 and I usually only have it 2 days, since it's heavy, I don't think it's going away tonight. I have a thyroid problem and on medicine for it, could that be why I am heavier?

Hypothyroidism can cause heavier menstrual periods. I would take it easy, take some ibuprofen and putting a heating pad on your abdomen...it will help with the cramps!

I have 2 thyroid diseases and yes, it definitely makes mine way heavy! So there is a good chance!!

ugh lol I was looking forward to only 2 days. Glad though that my medicine is working if it's making my periods heavier
