Too early to call the doc..

I've been getting what I call my "Second wind" of morning sickness now that I'm 27 weeks, and I usually cannot have an empty stomach or I'll get really sick. And start puking stomach acid. I have my Glucose tolerance test (I think it's the sugar one where I can't eat the night and morning before) I'm starting to get really sick though, and it's too early for my OB to respond before my apt. I know I can drink water, what about like literally 1-2 unsalted crackers?

They say not ot eat anything but I don't see a problem with a couple of crackers.

Exactly, and mmm that sounds awesome. I have 3 and a half hours before and I've been sick all night go figure I usually haven't had too many cravings, the night I'm not supposed to eat. Boom I want anything and everything. Thanks I just need something to sit in my stomach for a little.

Anything you eat that has sugar or carbs will alter the test.

I don't think two crackers with 3 1/2 hours til the test should have any effect. And if it somehow does they just have you do the longer test but I didnt have any issues with mine.

There's a possibility it will affect it. I would opt to see if your doctor would give you a shot of phenegran or Zofran.

Is this the first one hour test or the 3 hour test.
If it is the one hour eat you will be fine. Many doctors done even make people fast for that one anymore. I eat scrambled eggs before mine and drunk water. My test results were just fine. I ate at 7:45 had my test at 9.

My apt is at 10:30 I hate being ill informed, all they told me MONTHS ago was to not eat from a certain time to a certain time, my OB office works weird I have all my apt. printed out months ago, and so I don't get info, or anything about what the apt. is about. I haven't heard anything about a three hour test... or a one hour test. When they send that reminder message it didn't say anything about a 1-3 hour test but the nurse a while back said this date was my glucose tolerance test. I hate that, I don't know if I have the time to be there for three hours...

Not saying I wouldn't make the time. I just don't like not knowing ahead of time.

you only do the 3 hour if you fail the 1 hour test..
the 3 hour one will be a few days to a week after the 1 hour probably

Since it is your first test, it is likely just the hour test.
My midwives told me I could eat but recommended not eating pancakes with syrup or anything very sugary (then it would be more likely that I'd have to do the 3 hour test).
Best of luck.

I always have eaten before my tests seems other wise i will throw up (which they just make you drink more of that nasty stuff)... With my 1st I ate some carrots, with my second I ate a few pieces of toast, and with this one I had a bowl of cereal.... Granted even with eating, my blood sugar levels were on the low end of where they normally should be after the test (i have low blood sugar issues even while not prego tho)... that's not normally the case with everyone tho that's why they say to fast to get the most accurate results (those who don't fast have a higher likely hood of needing to do the 3 hour test)

I was able to eat before mine. Mine was the hour one and I forgot I had an appointment. I got up and ate waffles with syrup and then I realized oh crap I have y test this morning but I still passed.lol

I had crackers and a little something else, I get really sick if I don't have something in my stomach especially with my morning sickness coming back full swing. Thanks guys Hopefully it's just the 1 hour if not I'll do the 3 hour I just need notice first lol.
