I don't think I am over reacting I think I am seeing the advertisement in a different way to you. I wrote my thesis on female portrayal within advertising so I guess I am quick to analyze things like this. I'm also pretty happy that you are a strong enough women to not be offended by this - I wish that could be said for all of us though!

PETA is not the good guys in any way. They kill 98% of animals they rescue because they believe they are better off dead than as pets. I was an animal rights activist and ALF member until I saw what they really do.

If it was extreme feminism at it's finest that I was talking about then would I not talk of equality between male and females? I am pointing out how women are degraded and this is an obvious attack. The hair in her knickers is animal fur not human hair - It is there to symbolize human hair which is natural is it not? There for it is degrading what is beautiful and natural about a woman. If there was a man in this picture then I would talk about that but at the moment I am commenting on how women are perceived.

But it's about how people are perceived, not just women. That's my point. And I know it's not real human hair, but my point is, they were trying to something easy to understand. The fact that people, when doing Oral on their spouses or sig. others, would rather not be picking hair out of their gumline, is the truth. And that's the message that they were getting at. It was a play at something that in this day and age, is unappealing.
