The most frustrated you get the more frustrated he will. Try to relax. It takes slot of practice. Do you have a lactation consultant near you? They will show you how to get him to latch. Maybe there are some YouTube videos.

Sometimes you just can't - I was desperate to BF and was in tears that it wouldn't work but I wasn't producing enough anyway.
They told me that if you have bigger boobs to hold them like an American football (under the arm) and put a pillow under them so you're bringing them to you (or your back will hurt).
The nipple should point to their nose so they search for the nipple and once it's in it will point to the roof of their mouth.
Hope this helps

Also, if they don't seem interested, squeeze a bit out and leave it on your nipple so they get a little taste and want more - that's how my son latched but it wasn't for long

Grab your breast in your hand and pinch your nipple, express a small amount of milk and rub it on the corner of baby's mouth. He should turn his head and open wide. When he does that, pop the nipple in. Make sure his lips are out, not in, because it will hurt a lot if they aren't. Make sure he's taking in as much of the nipple and areola as possible.

Your def NOT a bad Mom just try not to get upset, babies feel how you feel :-) . What I did and you may feel like its to much, but you have to make sure you have your complete nipple in their mouth. None of the color out because that way when they such down it pulls the nipple. Sorry to say but just like milking a cow has a little tech to it you know. It used to feel like i was over stuffing his mouth lol. Once the complete nipple is inside try holding your breast up right and squeeze it a little inbetween until you feel a constant drain of the milk. Also remember to wipe off if you were sweaty. You will get it.

hold him with his body by your side and head infront of your breast.
try rubbing under his chin if he doesn't want to wake up.
Try putting your nipple from his nose, down to his mouth and back and forth until he opens, then hold his head and like flatten your breast, like a hamburger, and put it towards his mouth
the LC's at the hospital REALLY helped me!!

Tummy to mummy, nipple to nose, baby to breast. Put your nipple by LO's nose, kind of pointed upwards, then when they have a big wide open mouth push LOs mouth onto the nipple.
That wasnt explained very well, ill go find you a link.

Try the football hold. Tickle his chin to encourage him to open his mouth wide and then stick him on.

Also, i'd get him naked and do skin to skin, that's the ONLY way I could get her to nurse and latch properly!

Ughh. his last real feed was at 8 10 pm. he ate for like 10 min at around 1am. bit nothing since. he seems hungry, he has to be, but he wont kat h. ive tried the football thing, rubbing my nipple on his lips stroking his cheek, trying to get him to open his mouth with my finger, but hell put his mouth on it but wont suck. i just wanna cry. i dont wanna starve my baby. should i try A breast pump? Ive already asked a lactation nurse to help me before and she has, but idk. i just feel like a bad mom. idk what else to do

This is a great tip! I remember the at home midwife telling me to do this and it helped heaps.

He latched really well after birth, it seems like ots getting harder amd harder... ive done it skin to skin, thats when he latchea, but its like hes exhausted, they keep bugging him, and im sure hes tired. but they tell me to wake him up and try and feed him but when hes tired he isnt gonna latch. he just falls asleep on me, and then it pisses hkm off when im moving him around when hes tryna sleep. do i listen to the dkc and wake him up or let him sleep?

Let him sleep. That's mostly to establish your supply. If he's hungry, he'll let you know.
