re: tips on how to latch

posted 14th Nov
If he's healthy I wouldn't bother to wake him. As for fixing his latch, run your nipple from his nose to his chin to get him to open wide.

okay. thank you guys. They're going to try and help me, and then if still nothing, then we're gonna stimulate my nipples with a pump. i really want to give him my breast milk. but yes, hes very healthy.

Best way I got a good latch was to squeeze my nipple and pull it away to make it kind of elastic feeling and putting as much squeezed nipple in his mouth as possible

Thanks guys. They said that i was doing everything right & his mouth would be wide and right there on my nipple, he just wouldnt suck to get anything. assuming because he is exhausted.. so pumping to stimulate my nipples & help my milk come in, but gave him a bit of formula for now. I just wanted my baby to not be hungry. Im not too worried about it once my milk comes in. im very pro breast milk, so i really hope this doesnt confuse him. ty so much for the advice though.

my little guy would not latch for the longest time. thats why i had to stay in the hospital 2 extra nights. they ended up giving him formula and had me try and express colostrum for a bit. I tried laying on my side and bringing him to me when i got home and he kind of took to that. Eventually after 2 weeks of frustration, i put a pillow under him and all of a sudden boom! he got it! Try and keep calm and keep at it.

Last month, it was my birthday, the anniversary of my late husband’s death, and a time when I experienced another loss in my family. I was in total depression also because the gentleman I had been seeing for nearly a year decided to cut ties with me. All this happened at the same time, and my heart was broken. Then I found Ekaka email: ekakaspelltemple@yahoo.com and all my luck turned around – especially because the master did a wonderful spell of Love for me and my dearest companion, who decided he had made a terrible mistake by leaving me. We even took a much-needed vacation. It meant the world to me, and I have you to thank for it. I send you Prayers.
