So I have been spending all my time recovering and being mommy so I'm a little late with my birth story. He is 3weeks today!

I had to be induced at 39 weeks due to PIH. I went to the hospital around 7 am. My nurse came in at 8am and started my I.v. and my pitocin. I was already dilated 1.5 so after 2 hours and dilating to 2cm my doctor came in and broke my water. After being in labor for 5 hours I asked for the epidural.ahhh what a relief!...Around 4 pm I had been stuck at 3cm most of the day and the nurse wanted to try something different to help him move down more and help me dilate. She had me lay on my left side and prop my leg up on the bedside table. Baby boy did not like this. His heartrate dropped so low after every contraction and I started getting very worried. My nurse came back in and told me we would try the right side and propping my other leg up. He liked this much better. No more heart decels. Around 6pm I started feeling a ton of pressure so the nurse checked and I was 9 and a half and 100%. At 6:15ish I started pushing. The pressure was so intense! I pushed one last time and at 6:27pm my little miracle was born. I didn't have to get stitches or anything! My son being born was a very emotional and wonderful experience for me. They tried inducing me for four days! Lol, so glad you didn't have to go through that!
