Too quiet

posted 14th Nov
Does it freak anyone else out when your baby is in their crib and it's just SILENT? I just sit there waiting to hear her breathe or stir. If I don't hear something, I get up and look in the crib!
I do co-sleep with her but have a crib in the living room for when we're upstairs in the evenings. Then I take her downstairs when I go to sleep.
Anyone else this paranoid and when does it go away? She's 5 months.

I'm the exact same and I HAVE to go check her if I haven't heard a noise from her in a while. I would much rather check her when she is quiet rather than god forbid the one time I don't check her something is really wrong. DD is 6 and a half months

Oh man. I have a 9 year old daughter too and I do check on her sometimes. But I mainly go in to make sure she's covered up and such.

DS sleeps right next to me in his bassinet, and he can be the quietest sleeper. Like it'll wake me up if he's too quiet. I'm forever putting my hand on his chest to ease my mind.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world that doesn't do this   LO is a light sleeper, and if I were to go into his room to check on him, he'd wake up and I'd be in for it...lol

I always used to wake my LO's up when they were tiny. I mean, I go to check on them and they're so small... you can't tell if they're breathing or not.

It starts as a small poke, then a little firmer, next thing I know, I pretty much nudged baby awake.

Yep, I hardly slept because of it lol. I read that you can buy a mat for cribs that has a sensor for if they do stop breathing which I wish I'd have got before but I will be getting it this time
