Polyp in uterus?

So apparently I have a possible polyp in my uterus.... I have ever heard of this before, and had to just google it. I have to go to my gyno so he can do a proper ultrasound, then possibly have surgery to remove it. Has anyone else had one of these that could explain it to me better than google?

I didnt have a polyp but I had a fibroid attached to the outside of my uterus. I didnt know I had it till my c-section where they saw it and removed it.

polyps are usually inside the uterus, but sometimes can dislodge and travel to the cervix or vagina.

I had polyps a few years ago. I had fist sized bloot clots coming out of me... I was freaking SICK. I was very, very anemic from it. I needed surgery to fix it.

I'm ameamic too. But other than that, I feel fine. The only reason I had the ultrasounds in the first place was because I had been having really long periods. Lasting 2-3 weeks, and a whole heap of random spotting. I figured it was just the pill causing it. So I stopped the pill so we could start TTC, and now AF only lasts 5 days or so. So I figured it was all good. Now I'm freaking out that this polyp thing will mean I can't have any more babies.
