If your LO has a leap pad 2, when did he/she get it? Did he/she get good use out of it?

My daughter is 3 1/2 and has no clue what it is, but she loves my phone and such so I thought it might be good for her. My mom thinks we should wait until June for her 4th birthday instead and I'm just not sure. We only want to spend about $200 on each kid, so that would be a huge chunk. Do you think she's old enough to really enjoy it or should I wait?

DD got the leap pad last year just after she turned 3. She loved it and still plays it all the time

When my son turned three we bought him one. He loved it.

My kids both love Pet Pals 2, Get Puzzled, Mr Pencil Saves Doodleburg, Pixar Pals and Dora (they're 7 and 4). We also have Scooby Doo, I Spy, and Leap School. Oh, and a Disney Princess game.

I suggest getting the app center card to download games/ultra books. We've got so many games that they're constantly misplacing them.

I got my 2 year old the leapster, she never played with it lol, this year were getting her a cheap tablet, I was looking into kids tablets and they were to expensive to have such terrible reviews... we were going to get dean and jade kurios, because of the wifi, and we could put netflix, but decided to get them 2 nexus, and the buyers protection because they are kids lol and we still saved a lot of money...

I think the tablets are easier for the kids to play with... so id say go for it lol

We got it for my son in November of last year, so he had just turned 2. He really liked it. Totally forgot about it once we got him the iTouch for Christmas a month later, though.  

I went birthday shopping with Lance for Olivia and we got her the Innotab 2. "We're" getting one for Liz too the 23rd when he gets paid. Pretty much same thing as the Leap Pad 2 I think. Only cost $80 and it has about $60 of free products with it and a gel skin.

EEK!! I can't believe my big girls are going to be 3 & 4 within the next 10 days!!

Innotab has some pretty horrible reviews. But who knows. Ive always been a fan of leapfrog. They have the first leappad for $65 day after thanksgiving but the 2nd one has more memory, 2 cameras and a few other updates that make it worth the extra money. She has asked for EVERYTHING and my parents and grandparents are each spending $100 on them, but that still leaves a ton on my shoulders, so I just don't know. lol. I'm scared I'm going to get it and she won't play with it!

Everyone is getting so old   Bella will be TWO right after Christmas!

I got cade and Maki the leapster 2s this year for Christmas. I figure if they like then they can upgrade to the leap pad next year. I got two leapsters for 100 with 20 games!

Wow, great deal!! I see walmart black friday has them for $20 and games for $12. Ahhh I just cant decide! She also asked for a dollhouse, which I've been waiting forever for her to be interested in (I want to play with it! haha) so I was looking at the loving family house mega set for $170. Id use it as a together gift for her and Bella. But I cant do that AND the leappad. gah.

she won't know the difference between game systems. I'd go with what's cheaper for now and get the doll house.

I think I might. If shes totally into it I can always get the leappad for her bday in June. I would hate for her main gift to be something she doesnt get use out of. What are you getting Colin? I have 3 kids but I still feel clueless about what to get Liam lol

well since he won't care what's in the presents and will just want to play with the paper I plan to get a bunch of little things wrapped in pretty paper and bows. Haha.
