Diva Cup/Instead users...

I use Instead all of the time now, but I now see that they have a reusable one (I would think similar to the Diva Cup as far as washing and whatnot)...

How do you wash it if you're in public or if you have a bathroom with a smurffy set up like I do (Can't reach sink from toilet, really don't wanna leak on the floor)?

I'm looking into getting one when my period returns. I've heard women carry water bottles with them.

Depending on your flow, you can go up to 8 hours without removing it to empty it (the Diva Cup, that is). So you can very well go shopping, etc without having to take care of it in public. If you work and there are bathroom stalls, you're pretty much going to have to dump it and rinse it with bottled water.

I know I had the same type of setup when I used it (sink nowhere near the toilet). I never had a leaking problem. I think it's because the cup catches the flow as it's happening, so there's no backup of blood like there tends to be with tampons when they get completely saturated.

With my softcups, I can go 12 hrs on my really heavy days, and I think those are smaller!... Hmm.

Also I don't feel like it's backup that leaks when I change them out, but more a bunch dripping because it sits up against my cervix. If that makes any sense. Because basically, instead of a bell shaped thing, it's a silicone band with a hefty bag hanging from it. Lmao.
