high pitched screaming and screeching

is there anything i can do to make it stop?? my son is 8 months and has recently started doing this. nothings wrong with him he laughs most of the time when he does it, he's not hungry and not bored but its getting to the point where the sound is excruciating.

does anyone have any advice on how i can get him to stop? this happens day or night, at the moment its half 2 in the morning and i cant sleep because hes being a noisy bugger

Sounds like he's testing his vocal cords out, my daughter does the same thing and she's 9 months.

shes pissed... but she screamed like that not pissed..thank god she grew out of it.

yea my SO just says it cant be normal. and i figured it was just a phase and hopfully he grew out of it. i hope thats soon lol

That sounding like autism

Logan does this alot, and it's not that he's unhappy. He does it while playing, when music comes on, and when his nephew (17 months) is here. Those two will take turns doing it.

I honestly just can't help start laughing when it happens because he's usually got a big grin on his face.

My baby just loves to scream and squeal like that too. Sounds normal. You just have a screamer lol.


I sing really low or start whispering when she does that or like huff and puff like a whisper with no words and she copies then quiets down. I think it is testing vocals but she likes to scream when happy or angry.
