Anyone else have an animal give them a heads up

posted 13th Nov
On labor?
My dog angel has not left my side the past 2 days...She seems SO nervous and doesn't want me to go anywhere without her -- which is weird considering she was the brave independent one of the two. The other dog, Jasmine, doesn't seem to have noticed anything, but she's not too bright lmao. I really think Angel knows I'm about to go into labor or something. The past day and a half my body has been going through some things that make me think labor is pretty close (It's 'cleaning things out' if you know what I mean  )
I'm so excited... but not too excited seeing as how I still have 2 weeks left :/

Anyone else's animals start to act weird before you gave birth? How long was it before you had LO???

interesting! I don't have experience with dogs/animal and my labor, but I have had dogs react similarly with other situations (I was sick with one, another time I was taking care of a friend's dog when they got a cancer diagnosis and the dog knew something was wrong. it was weird!).

I won't know forever, but my puppyson and I are very very close and very codependent on each other. I think if dogs would be able to tell, he will def let me know lol

How exciting for you! I hope everything goes awesome!

Yes just today in fact! This morning my sons dog would not leave me and wouldnt let me get out of bed. With in a few mins of him forcing me back to bed i started preterm labor. He statred barking at me seconds before the first one hit. When i was pg with our first i had a cat and everytime i would go into preterm labor he would sit in front of my chair and stare at me for about 30 mins before the contracrions its amazing how intuitive animals r and i will be paying close attention to the dog from now on!

I've heard of a story like that too! The guy had just gone in for a test to see if he had leukemia and the dog started acting weird a few days before he got the results :S It's so weird but animals are amazing!

I would count on it! I have a 'catson' but he hasn't picked up on my changing body. He does go into the babys room and purr and sniff all of the babys things -- which he doesn't do to anything else in the house lol! So I know he kind of knows but doesn't really know like the girl dog does   Thank you so much!

How crazy!!! So the dog knew you were having contractions!? Oh my goodness lol!! That's crazy! I haven't been having any contractions but i've been having all of the 'signs' that labor is about to start, so i'm sure my dog can tell what's up. That is absolutely crazy though, what a smart dog! Congratulations and I hope everything goes great with babeh!!

He knew before they started and he always lets me know when something is up. Its really nice having an early alarm system...lol So far today dogs been totally cool and not anxious of me so im taking that as no more early labor today. It amazes me how much animals know about u.

Yes, after I came back from having my membranes stripped at the doctors office, both my girls started acting weird. They wouldn't leave me by myself. I would go to the bathroom they went with me. I would sit on the couch, both of them would sit on either side of me.
That night, I went to bed and they both were laying either on top of my legs up snuggled up under my arms (And their not small dogs)
The next morning I was having little gushes of fluid when I stood up, and they started to pant really hard and whine.
It was crazy. The night before I had made the comment to my husband that I think they know I'm about to have the baby. And he's told me that there was no way that they were just dogs. But I still honestly think they knew.

My outside cat who hates being inside followed me around for about 2 days before I had my LO meowing and trying to cuddle(which she never does shes not very nice usually lol!) And once he was born she has not been trying to love on me so I'm guessing she sensed something lol!
