I think situations can be different that girls family continually asked her if she was pregnant she lied and told them she miscarried and she also pryed the baby out of her vagina with a pair of scissors the fact that she hid the baby in her closet after all of that she should be tried as an adult. Actually most kids who murder should be tried as an adult unless there are special circumstances like extreme abuse, sexual abuse, mentally ill but kids aren't the same as even 20 years ago. 12&13 years olds dressing like adults, having sex, doing drugs, robbing people, I would have never imagined anyone I know doing that so I think we need more severe punishment in some cases I'm just saying

I didn't read any of the comments, but this case in particular makes me think kids/teens who commit murder should be charged as adults.

Quoting bbbt:" Exactly, so what I said in the OP, the heinousness of the crime determines if a child is tried as an adult or not. Age is irrelevant. Okay."

IMO, yes.

Back home I worked at the SO and two brothers one 8 and one 9 were brought in for burglarizing a home and setting it on fire... WTF is wrong with these kids. I'm pretty sure their older brother was in a gang and they were trying to get noticed. Little heathens! I don't know what type of punishment they got, but I know when I was 9 I was not thinking, hmmm who's house can I destroy today!?

I do lose sleep from what I saw in the hospital   I don't talk a lot about what happened to me in the hospital or what I saw. It is too painful. I've had multiple say that being in the hospital I was in is way worse than being in prison

I have seen pretty bad things a girl being wrestled to the floor given shots to calm her down and put it a "protective" jacket n thrown in the "quiet room" and many much but trust me its not worse than people being cut open and raped screaming for gaurds who dont help them and no one deserves those things

All Corrections Officers aren't out there to let other inmates get vigilante justice. It's only a few but they taint the whole career field. The judge and jury sentence the person and deem the punishment, NOT the CO.

It depends on the situation. I just get tired of people finding excuses for women who kill their children. I have had times where I just sat down and cried I was so stressed, but I walk away. I would never hurt my kids. If I ever felt like harming one, I would swallow my pride and get some help

To me it depends on the kid and the crime. I saw a show today where a 16 year old shot and killed a random 15 year old for absolutely no reason and when arrested showed no remorse. In my opinion this 16 year old is old bough to know right from wrong and made the choice to kill. He should be tried as an adult.
