DD loves being held

posted 13th Nov
Like 24/7. She will be dead asleep and the second she feels me put her down, she starts screaming. I pick her up, and she's all smiles again. I LOVE holding her. I'd hold her all day every day if that were possible but it's getting hard because I'm doing school online and still have all my household duties, you know?

I've heard to let her cry it out, but no. She's only almost 7 weeks old. I'm not going to let my baby lay there crying when all she wants is some loving. I am thinking about looking into a moby wrap so I can wear her. Any other recommendations? The only issue I have with it is that she wants to sleep in someone's arms all the time but that's not possible. Especially at night. And I refuse to co sleep.

NEVER EVER CIO at that age! It's natural at that age for them to want to be held. My son had to sleep in his swing until he was 5 months or he wouldn't sleep. Though I'd suggest a Freehand Mei Tai instead of a moby. It last's a lot longer and much easier to tie

I hated my moby. DS always felt like he was slipping out of it. I got a boba, it's like an ergo, but you don't need a separate insert for a newb, it just snaps down to hold them better. DS LOVES it, and it's easy on my back. He hangs out in it everyday, and never complains.

I will never let her CIO. I know it's totally normal to want to be held at that age. And thank you for the suggestion of the Freehand Mei Tai. I will look that one up! I'm very open to suggestions so keep them coming.

She HATES her swing.. :/ And she's not a fan of her paci either. She does ok in the vibrating chair thing, that's where she slept last night. My mom just showed me a way to swaddle her and that seems to be working at the moment.

Fingers crossed.

Swaddling was a god send for my daughter. She was the same way. Wanted to be in my arms 24/7. The swing also worked for her too. My friend used the sling and loved it. Hope you find something that works for you!

Eeek. Totally an impulse, but after reading your recommendation, I went on babies r us website and looked up the Mei Tai carrier. I saw nothing but good reviews, so I just went out and bought one! DD is eating now then I will try to put her in it.

This is the one I bought.

Be careful. I have heard horrible things about Infantino from babywearing groups. If it works sweet but I guess they aren't even allowed to be sold in wrap groups/swaps.

My son was like this I just kept trying to put him down for little bits of time and the more I did it the longer he would stay...but some days he still just wants to be held.. hold him as much as you can they grow so fast. But when you have to do school ask for help, try a wrap thing or just keep trying to put him down for little bits of time. I also said id never cosleep but my son sleeps better that way and so do I...I used to put the bassinet right next to the bed and put my hand on him and when I felt safe with his ability to move I put a blanket on him he sleeps better that way but I only did this once I knew he could move the blanket off or roll.

My friend is a BIG baby wearing buff and has all kinds of wraps. She just said NEVER get one. They're banned from swap pages for safety reasons I think I left her a message and asked for specifics.
