baby staying with my sister

posted 13th Nov
My daughter is nearly 6 months old and sleeps in bed with me. I haven't had a full nights sleep since a couple months before I had her. My sister has offered to take for the night tomorrow. That means I'll be dropping her off at daycare at 8:30 and then my sister will get her and bring her back to daycare at 8:30 the next day. I would get her 4:30 that afternoon. Thats more than 24 hours away from each other. I just dont think I can handle it. I mean, who really needs sleep?

Would depend on how bad you need the sleep. If you are doing fine then dont do it. But if you're really struggling and its taking a toll on you, take advantage and catch up.

I wouldn't be able to handle it either! I just let my mom take DD for 4 hours and I missed her like crazy. Once you become a mother sleep no longer matters lol. But that was nice of your sister! And if you can do it then I say go for it!

I'd be more worried about your sister... is she prepared for a screaming baby all night?

I think I'm going to wait till sun. I'm off sun and mon and so is my sister. That way she can get my baby that afternoon so I can really sprawl out in my bed and sleep and I can get her back the next day. I'm not suffering to bad from the lack of sleep. I just really want one night ot sleep comfortably without waking up. My daughter is a snuggle bug so I pretty much dont get to move once we lay down.

My sister has a son so she knows what to do. And my daughter doesnt scream all night. She wiggles a lot and it wakes me up. I constantly wake up to check on her and make she a pillow hasnt fallen on her face or something like that.

But if she hasn't been away from you for a night in 6 months... well, technically 15 months, lol... she may not do so well...

That's a good idea. And I understand, when I was co-sleeping with my daughter I never got good sleep because I'd always wake up every time she moved.
