Just out of curiosity, how long would/did you breastfeed? it seems like breastfeeding toddlers has become more popular. What do you think about that?

Its more popular? No, its just more heard of now. Its nothing new. My 2 year old still nurses after a nap.

Chub is still nursing. She's 2.5. Why should I give a smurf what others do?

My first until 15m then he self weaned when I go pregnant this baby will be weaned after 12m I'm having supply issues since I've gone back to work it's stressing me out plus I need to be on some meds that aren't bfing safe.

I breastfed Z until 21 months. We would have kept going most likely except I was going out of town away from her several days and my boobs were already killing me from the pregnancy and I didn't want to pump to keep up my tiny little supply when we only nursed around 2x a day. I think breastfeeding toddlers is great. Nothing wrong or abnormal with it.

I put 2 years in your poll, although both of my kids quit at 17 months - on the dot. I don't know if my milk changes, or what, but both have refused after turning 17 months. I was more than happy to go to 2 years, and then start to actively wean them at that point.

I was planing on night weaning at a year and to be done with it all by 1 and half. My daughter had other plans. She self weaned at 11 and half months when I got pregnant again. 2 is my absolute cut off

We just hit 5 months. Well go till she is still interested.

I plan on until 6 months but if it’s still going well after 6 months I will think about longer. He is 4 months and 9 days  

I have no issues with extended bfing my goal was a year and everything past that was bonus. We made it to 9.5 months before she transitioned into formula. I wish we could of made it to our goal but life goes on. She still nurses for comfort though and I will continue to let her until she stops.

My oldest was 3 yrs when he weaned. My middle son was 4 yrs when he weaned.
My youngest is still nursing.
It's not more popular. It's more talked about, more accepted and more common to breastfeed at all in the us. Worldwide it varies.

My LO is 14 months (nursing) & I am currently pregnant   I plan to nurse my daughter (and the new babe) until they wean themselves  

There are studies shown breastfeeding toddlers is good or more so than breastfeeding infants so i plan on breastfeeding until my LO doesnt want to anymore
