I've only been to Katy once. That was on my bf's birthday 3 months ago. We went to this restaurant called Lupe Tortilla then The Alamo Drafthouse. It was a fun time. I don't have a car at the moment though so I don't really experience Houston traffic.

My husbands old job was downtown at the Wellsfargo Plaza and mine was just east of downtown pretty much in the fifth ward so we dealt with it everyday. Even carpooling it was not uncommon for our commute to be two hours one way, especially if there was an accident. Our poor kids spent 12 hours a day at daycare.

Now that I homeschool, I don't have to deal with it much. Only when we go on field trips am I reminded of why I quit that job!

Yeah SO and I try not to go anywhere during peak traffic times. We've gotten caught up in it a few times though and it sucks.

Sorry to jump in,but I live in Houston and I can't stand the traffic   I'm moving to the woodlands soon, it's like right outside of Houston, I hope the traffic isn't as bad there.

Oh I know! I took art classes in Houston. I believe my preschool was in Houston too. My Dad worked at IBM, I went to Creme de la Creme. I loved how much land we had in Texas... oh my lord it was ridiculous!!!

All of the outskirts are getting bad at peak times because everyone is moving here! 45 can get pretty hairy but its usually better then 290 or I-10.

I used to work near there, too! Right at 249 and antione. My terminal keeps moving to different buildings and I just have to adapt. Have you been to hickory hollow? Best freaking stuffed baked potatoes EVER! When I was pregnant my boss would buy us lunch there a lot and it was like Christmas, thanksgiving, and sex in a to-go box.
