Ready for the inducement

posted 13th Nov
Welp I'm in my room on a IV & baby's being monitored. I nearly puked and passed out when they did the IV it hurt so bad and I was getting so nervous. But I've relaxed, naturally on my own I am a finger tip dilated. They brought cervadil & pitocin in my room. Although I am not sure when they are starting the cervadil. They said they are contacting my Dr for more orders. When I got in they said my heart rate was sky rocketing but I figured I knew I was extremely nervous. I have calmed down a bit thank god. And luckily SO's boss let him leave two hours early, so my dad went to pick him up he should be here in 30 minutes I am so excited I know I will be much more content when he is here.

Now I am just bored and wondering when they will start cervadil.

aww i would just wait til he comes on his own. unless theres a medical reason. I watched the business of being born..and it made me sad that i got induced. The contractons come harder and faster which mean more stress for baby.

I also watched the business of being born as well. I was induced with my previous children as well and all was fine. There are medical issues this time around which makes me even more ready. I said initially that I wanted to wait but I dont think it will happen. I have yet to even experience braxton hicks or a real contraction even with previous pregnanices. Mind you with my last I was dilated to 7 1/2 and not hurting at all. So I am terrified of being on the brink of birth and not knowing it.

If the IV made you want to puke.... Be ready for transition labor.   And if that needle sucked, don't get the epidural.

Meh, I had two kids both induced, epidural free.... You'll be fine. Good luck!

I had both my boys induced and got the epi both times as well.. I really Dont understand why the IV hurt that must have been due to your nurse. But i agree if the IV was to much you should reconsider the epi that is no joke. Uber pain but if u can take it, it will be just for a moment and u will be fine. I cant lie, the second time hurt worse than the first and it does have me thinking about doing this one natural. Good luck and congrats!
