Understanding Christmas

My daughter is two and a half and she doesn't quite understand the concept of Christmas. She has been asking for a bike since June, so with the holidays near we tell her that if she is good maybe Santa will bring her a bike and she always tells me "NOOOOOOOO! I don't want Christmas!" How did you help your toddler understand Christmas?
