It is fraud! You misrepresented and reported finances, you should have to pay all that back.

It IS fraud and you can deny it all you want sweet cheeks. I used to be a worker   Food Stamps, Medicaid and Children Family Services. Don't try to tell me that it varies state to state, because it does not. Some states offer more coverage, but overall, it is a Federal program. You committed fraud, plain and simple.

Yeah, it is still fraud, lol. Just because you didn't KNOW it was fraud doesn't mean it wasn't.

If you're living with the father then his income is relevant. If it wasn't then every SAHM would qualify for all sorts of help even if her husband made millions. That would make no sense.

The programs are to help people who don't have the means to do it themselves. If a household makes too much, they make too much. That includes the money from the childs father if they're living together.

You have to include all of the household income but there should be a different guideline for maternity.

Would they just use medicaid as secondary. I have been looking into it and I don't understand it. Can someone help me?!

Family Size: in determining the family size for All Kids, count the following family members who live together:

1) The applicants boyfriend or girlfriend if they have a child in common living in the house with them.

2) Do not count the unborn child of the pregnant woman in the family size. All kids will automatically increase the household size to include the nber of unborn babies based on proof of pregnancy.


So what does this mean?? Do they count his income or not caeca use isn't born yet.

This is fraud. If they make too much they can pay out of pocket like the others who make too much!

Yes they would use Medicaid as secondary

And that is confusing I don't know

It isn't fraud if she's honest about it. OP- Put down your own income and no one elses unless your SO also helps. When they ask if there are other people in the house tell them yes, but the finances and such are completely separate (if that is the truth). That is what I have done and the state knows that I live with other people but do not count their income what-so-ever.

Ok , I'm wrong apparently but it was 4 years ago. I honestly would not tell someone commit fraud, I honestly and truely did not know it was fraud. That is what my case worker at that time did. And I know that its for people that need help , I pay 800 month just for me being pregnant now with insurance through my husband . I would dare take any or apply for anything unless I truely needed it. I'm sorry I pissed people off on here I wasnt trying too.

medicaid is a payer of last resort, your primary insurance will be billed first.

Make sure you apply for pregnancy medicaid.

when I applied I was living with my aunt. I didn't need to put her income down because I wasn't applying for her. they only wanted me to provide income for the people I was applying for but I did need a letter from her stating I was renting a room from her and what i was responsible for. this may not be the same in all states.so i;m not sure. and with this pregnancy as soon as I became pregnant they gave me full medical.
