My oldest baby is named Arianna. I've heard people pronounce it 2 different ways and it's been a controversy between SO and I for years. How would/do you pronounce it?

I always say Ah-ree-ahn-ah

Are- E- Anna [an- na] and Air- E- Ana [on- uh]

I always say it Ah-ree.


I mean if it was meant to be pronounced Air, wouldn't it be spelled Airi, not Ari?

This was one of our top names, and we were going to pronounce it are-e-ana.

I always think of the little mermaid with this debate.   King Triton calls his daughter Air- re- el. Sebastian calls her Are- re- el.
