Layaway

Which stores did/do you do layaway at?

We did Walmart this year. Only for my nephew.

My mom used to use K-Mart.

I'm trying to decide between the two but I'm not sure how different they are lol.

Well, I know that you have to have Walmart's out by like..December 18th or something. Not exactly sure of the date. But you pay 10%, plus $5..I think. I'm sure you could google a comparison on them!!

I use K-Mart and Walmart this year, however I am a MUCH bigger fan of K-Mart's. The only thing you can't put in layaway is clearance items. The list for things you CAN put on layaway at walmart is much shorter than the list of stuff you CAN. Each item has to be at least $15 dollars at walmart and you cant put clothes and what not in. Plus, if you sign up for the free rewards program at kmart, you get points towards your purchases. I was just able to get a free case of diapers, simply because of the layaway I had in

Also, Kmart's layaway is no fee

i did toys r us.... only because i dislike walmart... and the closest kmart isn't close at all. lol.

not to mention the layaway was free and instead of doing biweekly payments... they give you 45 days to pay off 50% and then 45 days (or until dec. 16th, which ever was first) to pay off the other 50%.

i've only put clothes on layaway @ burlington.. they will let you put ANYTHING lol but I think it's in stores only
I know that sears and kmart does have clothes available for layaway too though

Hmm.. I didn't look into Toys R Us.

The only problem I had with toys r us is, when we went there, they told us we couldn't put anything that was on any kind of sale, in the layaway. Which way more than half the store is on sale!!
