re: 14 y.o strangles and kills newborn

Ok so her mom noticed blood on the toilet and rushed her daughter to the hospital, where the daughter said she had a miscarriage.
How the hell could the hospital not tell she had given birth to a 9 1/2 lb baby!?!?!?!
And also obviously her mom cared about her...
Then her mom found the baby and called the police.... She obviously isnt crazy or unstable. She didnt confront her daughter and help her stash the body or anything.

She obviously had support. And like I said there were 8 months she could have figured something out. It wasn't like she didn't know she was pregnant and just randomly a baby dropped out of her vagina...

Agreed. Reading more into it, I'm starting to say she should be tried as an adult.

your damn right she should be charged . Any fourteen year old in their right mind wouldnt do this. Its outrageous and makes me sick to my stomach. I have no sympathy for someone like this as well as her family members. The girl needs help. Honestly id love to see her be put in prison. They would eat her alive.

I also understand she was feeling desperate, but like I have said multiple times she had months and months to figure out what to do. It wasn't sprung on her out of nowhere.

I didn't know that "support" consist only of taking your kid to the hospital during an emergency.  
Other than that, what do you really know about this girl's home life?

Not to mention that the mother had her take pregnancy tests and suspected pregnancy... although she could have been a little more proactive and taken her to the hospital.

I agree with this. More I read the more I think she should be tried as an adult and get help when in prison.

Its not an excuse. This is exactly why people get away with murder. "Oh their home life was terrible" whether or not thats true in this case, she was a big girl. Obviously "woman" enough to have sex. She wasn't a moron. She killed her baby and now has to face the music.
