I would let him do it. And make sure my child knows that I won't go anywhere.

I gave my ex a chance to leave when I was pregnant. I think it's bullsmurf guys can't "abort" their rights if they want. He was a smurffy father until she was a year old then he tried to kidnap her... I havent seen him since. I wish he said "Im not cut out for this" and left when I was pregnant.

technically they can't, I mean men can't make the choice not to have the baby like women can. If they woman chooses to keep the kid they have a financial obligation no matter if they wanted to have the kid or not. They can however choose not to care for the child or be in the childs life. But honestly a woman can do the same. I think its safer for people who don't want to be parents to not be forced to care for children, that is when parents loose it and hurt kids.

Smurf, I don't know.

(I think you knew?) But I was in this almost exact situation in February. We both thought abortion at first - however I backed out, couldn't do it. We threw around a lot of ideas, but never could come up with anything that we both agreed on. It ended in miscarriage which I kinda feel was the best thing that could have happened. I think if the baby would have been born, I would have just cut him out. He was about to graduate college and wanted to travel and not get a job anytime soon.

Cutting all ties kinda seems like the harder thing to do right now, but you and the child both will have a tough time w/him coming and going, I think.

Text me!! I feel like this is exactly what happened to me! I (still) think Jordan resents me for not choosing abortion. He did not want to parent and we had a really emotionally hard time dealing w/each other bc of the differences in what we wanted.

I dont feel that they should have a financial obligation if they don't want to be there. Its bullsmurf they cant just go away, completely go away and not have to pay.... yet woman can do that.

I think guys should also be able to terminate involvement somehow, just like women can.

Yeah, but women also have the option of terminating even if the man doesn't want to. Just the privilege that comes with carrying the child, I guess...
