Thyroid

Is thyroid medicine safe to take while pregnant? I am not pregnant but in case I was to be I don't want to hurt the baby. I'm about to go to the doctor cause I think I have a thyroid problem because I'm so freaking tired all the time.. And the last couple of days it's extreme

It's not only safe to take during pregnancy, it's very important. Have you had a CBC done? You might just be anemic. I'm pretty much chronically anemic and it makes me tired to the point where I can't keep my eyes open during the day sometimes.

I'll try to have them test for that too.. I've been putting it off forever but it's just too bad to let it go..

I literally was tired all day yesterday went to sleep at 7, this morning I woke up at 7, and I'm still so freaking tired! I just stay so tired.. It's never this bad.. I swear if I didn't just have my period two weeks ago I would think I'm pregnant. It's so extreme!!!

Do you have heavy periods? I do and that's what causes me to be so anemic. I also get very pale (especially noticeable in my lips) and get headaches sometimes. I can take a nap for two hours after work and wake up feeling not rested at all.
But those can all be symptoms of hypothyroidism too...along with a lot of unexplained weight gain, cold intolerance, constipation, brittle nails/hair...etc.

Well... Within a year two years ago I gained 100lbs.. I eat right and still don't lose weight... I get really cold out of no where... My hair is falling out.. I used to have thick hair now it's so freaking thin, I'm afraid to brush it sometimes... I know there is for sure something wrong with me.. I just hope and pray that they can find out what is wrong with me cause I know something is severely wrong with me because this is not normal..... Not at all.. I just want to go throughout one day and feel normal.

That sounds like your thyroid for sure. Make sure they do a complete thyroid panel, not just your TSH...sometimes that can come back within normal limits and there is still a problem. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with some kind of autoimmune thyroid disorder (I forget what it's called).
