Getting Close????

I'm 30 weeks and 2 days pregnant with faternal twin boys. The past few nights I've been more restless and getting up tons!!! The boys seem to be moving WAY more then they usually do. Could this mean they are close to arriving? I've had 2 singleton pregnancies in which I was indued with both once I went past my due so I don't really know what it feels like to go into labor all on my own.....lol. My Dr has just cut my hours back at work last week to 32 hrs and not 40 hrs a week. The pregnancy with twins hasn't been bad until now since I'm starting to feel a lot of aches and pains all over and swelling. Their aggressive movement now hurts too since I'm 30 weeks along. The Dr has told me average time would be 32-36wks so I'm trying my best to get to 32 weeks.

I don't think it means you're getting close. I delivered my twins at 35 weeks and had NO IDEA when they were going to come until my water broke. Lol. Good luck to you.

Awww....how far along are you?

almost 37 weeks.
I am SOOOOOOO uncomfortable at night since my hips have been "relaxing" and spreading. Its so painful

Oh I know the feeling all too well! I wish you luck! Not much longer for you now!! I guess my pains are just starting sooner since there's 2 babies this time and not just one in there...lol

I'm 33 weeks and 3 days with identical twin girls. The pains only get worse. I can barely turn over at night. I have to sit up then shift my body and lay back down. Just moving is becoming an Olympic sport these days. 3 weeks ago I went into labor and they were able to stop it. I was in the hospital 13 days for monitoring..boring!! My OBGYN is hoping i make it to the 24th which I'll be 35 weeks..not just for the babies sake but where I deliver won't deliver any sooner...It does help though if you get the steroid shots for their lungs...good luck!!

Oh my!! Well I wish you the best of luck for you and your precious girls!! :-) The Dr's cut my hours at work back due to me getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, but other then that nothing major has happened as far as going into labor. I go for another ultrasound tomorrow to check growth and such for my boys. Last U/S I was 26 wks and 4 days and they each measured 2lbs 4oz at that time and everything was developing nicely the Dr's told me. So I can't wait to see how they are tomorrow!! :-D

Went to Dr today and the ultrasound shows my boys measuring at 31wks and they weigh 3.7lbs and 3.10lbs. They are both head down. My cervix has shortened though so the Dr has put me on bed rest. I go back next week for another ultrasound to check my cervix and the boys. Just thought I'd give y'all an update.

Thanks for the update. Take it easy! I was on bedrest from 24 weeks on (Just standard at my OB's office for twin pregnancies) It gets boring but you need to let those boys bake a while longer! Good luck!

yes it's boring...lol When did you deliver? My Dr's told me early on that 32-36wks is avg. for twins. I want to try to make it at least 34wks or longer. I have a 5yr old daughter and a 9mo. old son at home, but my family is helping with them since the Dr wants me on bed rest and my husband works full time. Any advice on what to do to pass the time???

I delivered at 35 weeks but I think my DD may have been off because the twins were big for 35 weeker twins. (6lbs 2oz and 5lbs 1oz) Things to do to pass the time? Well, I don't have any other children so I would just talk on the phone, be on my lap top, watch TV, color, cross word puzzled etc. I also took 3 (yes, 3!!) baths a day because I was in so much pain from the extra weight (I gained 80 lbs) and it was the only way I found relief. It is soo boring but you'll get there.
