I don't understand...

posted 13th Nov
My daughter is 3.5, and lately whenever we put her down for naptime or bedtime, she will scream, cry, whine and carry-on for sometimes up to an hour or more.. she cries more than she did as an infant. She will throw fits, and start like blowing raspberries at us. She is potty-trained and knows she can get up to go to the potty, so will go like 30 times an hour if we let her. She acts like this in public too, whines and screams. I cannot always leave a store when she is acting like this because I have smurf I HAVE to get done.. and I hate the looks I get from people. I either try to talk to her about why she is crying/screaming or just ignore it alltogether. Nothing works though! Its awful. I want my sweet baby-girl back! I dont know who this child is anymore :/ I feel like a smurf parent for saying that, but I am at my wits end.

**I do go in and check on her, read to her, talk to her, cuddle with her.. but sometimes she keeps whining anyways, or will start up again as soon as I leave the room**

My oldest is same age n does same stuff. We ignore it anymore. Last night she manipulated my mom over the phone to read her 3 stories. I wanted to rip my hair out. She has a routine she knows it n still fights it. I just hope being consistent n she'll eventually grow outta it.

Yes, this exactly. We always do the same night-time routine.. Im just so exhausted between her staying up so darn late, and my son getting me up at 4-5 am every day.. I just do not get enough sleep. So a tired and frustrated Mamabear doesn't make for a good day for any of us lol.
