I always thought it was the sell by date, and ill use stuff probly a week after that date as long as it looks and smells ok when I open it

It's the sell by date and I wouldn't eat it past 3 days after the date.

That's what I was thinking, but wasn't 100%. I bought a large container for .50 and couldn't pass it up since we eat it so fast, but then reading the date marked today, I started feeling funny about feeding it to the kids lol

Yeah, I won't. Probably be gone tomorrow anyway   my kiddos love yami yogurt because it's smooth texture.

I don't know about Yami yogurt, but I do know that yogurt in general actually doesn't go bad anywhere close to the expiration date. The expiration date is there because of health regulations requiring there to be a reasonable expiry date. The yogurt itself does not go bad for about 3 weeks until after it's expiry date.

Now I don't know about that specific brand, but generally that's the rule for yogurt.

That's interesting. I wonder if it's because of the good bacteria?

That's what I was told...Where we're from the grocery store marks anything close to it's expiry date is marked off by 50%...When we found out that it actually doesn't 'expire' at the expiry date, we began to buy 5 or 6 containers when it came on sale. And two weeks after the expiry date, it's still good. The yogurt I ate for breakfast this morning was a week and a half past the expiry date, I think....
