Dental surgey for 2 year olds?

Why is this needed? On a fb page I seem a few posts of their young toddlers needing this, but not answering why when people ask.

If their teeth need to be capped.

They could just be meaning multiple extractions due to severe decay.

If they're decayed maybe?

Are you sure it's always dental? My son had his tongue clipped when he was an infant.... he was tongue tied so that was why. He was under gas in the operating room, though they sometimes can do those in the office.

My 3 year old had to be under anesthesia to get an abscess tooth pulled

Not sure i just seen the admin posing. Few times about it and other moms talking about their kids needing it too.

That would be sad. Can't imagine something being bad enough to decay your teeth in 2 years.

My 3 year old needed to get her front teeth pulled due to a really bad fall  

I told them not to put her under anesthesia though.

I get cavities easily, apparently so does my son.   We knew he had a cavity, and the dentist told us to wait and they'd take care of it when he was older and could sit still for it, well it got worse. Sometimes it is hereditary. I brush his teeth twice a day, he does not eat candy or juice, and we floss his little teeth. So it's not like I'm feeding him jelly beans and Oj and never brushing them. I felt awful.. but things can happen. A friend of mine had to have her toddlers tooth pulled too.

Right.

I was just pointing out that it isn't something "so bad" that can rot a baby/toddler's teeth. KWIM? More times than not it's from BM/formula, not chowing down on a chocolate bar or something.

Exactly! I felt so guilty when my son got the cavity, I was like "I don't get it! I don't feed him junk!"

And it's horrible that most people think that! They hear of a little kid having a cavity, and all of the sudden you have people questioning your hygiene and what you're feeding them.
