sex during pregnancy..my random thought.

I know this is probably dumb, but I was wondering, if you have sex close to your due date, there is a lot of shaking going on for the baby, why is it the baby doesn't get "shaken baby syndrome" from you having sex? He is obviously getting bounced around a lot in there.

Just a random thought that crossed my mind. And is it safe to have sex this close to my due date?

As far as I am concerned. Sex close to the due date is recommended.

The baby is in fluid, it's not getting shaken around like crazy.

Yes, it's safe unless your doctor has told you otherwise.

And sex close to your due date is actually suggested, unless you're on bedrest/ pelvic rest.

My midwife hasn't mentioned sex at all, so I'm guessing that means it's fine. I'm supposed to be "taking it easy" because my PIH, but she said just don't spend hours walking around the mall, not anything about pelvic rest.

My husbands likes to ask at every appointment he goes to. He said he doesn't want to get I trouble lol. I don't see a reason why they would but I am praying at my appointment Monday I don't get the dreaded no sex recommendation. Right about now I'd die because my hormones are causing me to be a nympho!

I am just the opposite, most of the time I hate him. The only time I like him is when I first wake up, or when he is at work. I'm sure it's just hormones, but I know that it's going to be at least 6 weeks after the baby comes before we can do anything, and I feel bad about not wanting anything to do with him..lol

It is totally safe. Just relax sex is recommended during all the pregnancy, there is no reason to decrease your sexual activity. You should not be concerned about the baby, sex stimulates them and it is good for you to liberate some stress. Go for it
