OPKs

I will start testing today and from what i have read you test like between 2pm-4pm or something like that.
I know its better to test in the evening, but what is the best time frame and should I test twice or just once? And if I should test twice a day what times would you test then?

I tested twice a day or else I would miss my surge. Around 1 and 7pm.
