And you know Jason's behavior pretty well.
Today he called from work saying he was getting the kids a dog for christmas. it was the most talking we've done, and i think he thought he'd come home and things would be back to normal. but, we weren't home when he got home, and ugh, i just can't bring myself to get over things yet.
i feel like in the past i did it was too easily and that's part of why he's never changed.

Usually, when we fight, I ask him to leave to his mom's for the night, and he refuses -.- so, I just go to bed, and in the morning it's just automatically just dropped.
It's weird, like it never happened.
If it was serious though, it'd be dayssss.

I don't blame you. like, some stuff should just be dropped at a certain point. but I think you should make him sweat it out as long as possible

Right? Especially this time cos it long-term effects Carter & how he perceives his relationship with him, and in turn vice versa. He needs to understand that Carter will always and forever come before him and if he's not going to treat Carter as he would Clara, then, bye.

The longest time I have ever been angry with him was for one day. It was Christmas and we were visiting my dad in my hometown and we went out drinking with my stepbrother. I went home early and they stayed out. My husband called me up saying my stepbrother was trying to drive and he had to take his keys. I got annoyed at that point and offered to pick them up and he declined. He said he would get a taxi. He also told me he had run into an old friend of mine at the bar and she offered to give them a ride. Normally I would be 100% okay with this but I don't trust her whatsoever (not in a sexual way, by the way--I don't worry about my husband cheating and I'm not jealous whatsoever). She has already had one DWI and been arrested for a couple of other things. He can't afford to get in trouble and I didn't want his safety jeopardized.

Another hour passes and finally they get back but I hear a female outside in the driveway. It ended up being this girl. (I forgot to mention that the reason we were no longer friends was because after months of telling me she would be at my wedding she blew me off entirely. She also lied about why she couldn't make it. We had been friends for approximately 20 years so obviously I was really hurt.) I was FURIOUS and felt betrayed in a way. He could have called a cab but no, he chose to ride with this girl I don't like instead.

Obviously in hindsight it wasn't that big of a deal. I was definitely angry for a solid day though. Our version of anger is different from most couples' though. We have never raised our voices at one another, we don't call each other names, etc. Instead we walk away, collect ourselves, and then discuss it later on. I pretty much didn't talk to him all day but we made up later on that night =)

I could definitely see not being happy over that.
I'm a walk-away'er, my dude isn't.

You know what, I never realized how awkward it was after seeing you ask her this. Lol.

With us, I still made dinner. I just didn't make him a plate. Me and the kids ate in the living room. If he was in there, we'd eat in my room with their little table.

well, he works overnights. so on the nights he works, he sleeps all day (as usual since he works 12 hour shifts), gets up, talks with the kids a bit, and then leaves....we just don't talk to each other. on the nights he has off, we don't end up eating dinner together as a family. i've been either hanging out in my room while he is with the kids, or i will just leave and hang out with a friend of mine (i NEVER get to hang out with my friends...so i've actually welcomed this break a little..haha). when we aren't around each other, nasty text messages get sent...but when we are around each other, we just pretty much don't talk.
