Question about the US separating

So, I'm curious.. I heard (may not be true) that Americans don't like to change presidents during a conflict with another country, because it shows weakness or something.

Doesn't separating specific states for your government do the same thing?

It feels like (to me) when a Husband leaves his SAHM, like I fully believe many of those states can be self sufficient, but... How you gonna dog your wife out like that?! Damn.

Texas has been trying to secede for a while now.
But yeah, id say that would make us look even worse.

I haven't looked into it but some states aren't happy with the way the government is ran so they are like smurf it.
