I totally hate how people always lump everyone in together when talking about Texas.

I know people all over Texas and I haven't met one person who hates gays, blacks Asians etc. Smurf I am married to a Mexican lol!

I mean yeah it has downfalls but every state does. I love the sense of respect and morals that are taught(at least to everyone I know) we all respect out parents and have more sense then to go out being dumbasses. I love living here because it is home. It's where my friends and family are and where my kids are happy. Obviously we won't live in Texas forever(I hate the heat) but its home. :-)

And I am a semi normal person who happens to be a Texan and hate when people hold that against me. Although I was born in NY lol!

Lol I hated Dallas! I love Austin though! And the smaller towns are pretty fun if you have good friends.

We plan to move to the northeast after we finish our degrees though :-) I miss it so bad!

I took history, but I mean how far does this independence go before its every man for himself?

Wanted to add, if you don't watch any of the other videos, watch the Ron Paul one. He talks about why it is American to want to secede. It's actually written in our Declaration of Independence.

My feeling has always been: we took care of you, we gave you a nice place to call home, now show some respect and stop acting like a pussy! We are like damn f'ing conjoined twins! We can't just cut off a limb! Make nice and stop bitching or move all your whinny asses out to some island.

This all works for the states trying to abandon the US as well of course lol

That's the good one. The Glenn Beck one just makes you realize how many people on one side of the spectrum really would support secession. That, and Glenn Beck makes me all hot and bothered.

It's like cutting off a useless limb. Alberta would be fine without Quebec, I doubt you'd even notice. But they NEED Alberta. We don't really deal with them here, but they can't survive alone. They'd become a third world country and we'd end up supporting them anyway.
