re: January Mamas :)

I've been having contractions since late last night. They're pretty regular, but not super painful. It's more annoying than anything lol. I think I lost my mucus plug this afternoon? There was a [sorry for the tmi!] huge bloody blob in the toilet. I never noticed that with my first, so it freaked me out... and grossed me out.

I'm hoping something happens soon. These contractions get worse when I'm up and moving around and this baby keeps headbutting me. I HOPE something happens before tomorrow morning. My husband has to work almost an hour away and I don't want to walk to the hospital. At least it's right down the street.

I guess i'm still losing my plug because more was there this morning. It's not bloody or anything but it is soooo gross!!

Awh   I hope you don't have to walk to the hospital! I'm excited for you though! Good luck!

no bloody show or loss of any plug for me yet, no contractions of any kind....today I'm trying to get caught up on house chores and I put the baby's hospital bags and car seat in the car...knowing my luck, they'll sit in there for the next 11 days till I have to be induced   I'm sure the more ready I am, the longer it will be! Its kinda driving me crazy wondering when it will happen, its so different for each woman so I have nothing to go on when it comes to signs of approaching labor. I guess all I can do is try to keep busy getting the house and myself ready ( dyed my grey roots recently! lol, damn premature greys.) Or maybe just sleep the days away till I go into labor!

Looks like she decided to show up on her own after all.  

Woke up at 2 AM with contractions that were 5 minutes apart, had more of that bloody show, contractions started to pick up and I called the hospital at 5 AM. Told my husband we needed to go and he started running around like a chicken with its head cut off LOL. Checked in around 6:30 AM, was told I was 5 cm, and she made her entry into the world at 11:46 AM.

Congrats she is adorable, your little girl and my little guy are pretty close in size, mine was 8lbs 10ozs and 21 inches (but 3 weeks early)

Thank you!   I was worried she'd be a ten pounder because my doctors kept telling me I was all baby.

Gah now I want the 15th to hurry and get here! OR for this fella to make an appearance earlier! Such cutie!!! Congrats!!

Thanks guys! My delivery went faster than my first. When they checked me the first time, it was almost 7 AM and I was at 5 CM. They checked again about two hours later and I was almost at 8 CM so they called my doctor and started getting everything prepared. I didn't have an epidural with my first, but I did get one this time around because it was all back labor and it was god awful. It only worked on the left side of my body, but it made it more bearable.   Getting the epidural wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
