re: January Mamas :)

im due january 14th ;; yesterday went for a welness visit noticed i had a slight pain over my heart and mentioned it to my midwife so she took my pulse and it was 160 beats per minute & my blood pressure was through the roof - thats wht was causing my heart pain... she imidiatley had the nurse call 911 and i was transported to the hospital .. baby was fine though .. they said my heart was beating irraticly and i was sooo nervous i was going to have to be induced lol but nopeee they gave me 2 bags of fluid my pulse & pressure went back to normal then they sent me up to L&D and was put on the baby monitor for 45 minutes... the whole time im having mini contractions nuthing serious enough to be kept and im only 2cm dialated and my cervix are soft sooooo im hoping by the weekend    

Hey ladies,
Is mild to heavy cramping all day a sign of impending labor? My belly is not tightening with every cramp but I have literally had menstral like cramps ALL day long which I have not had before during my pregnancy. I'm 40 weeks tomorrow, please tell me they are a sign of labor coming soon!?!

I will be 40 weeks on Sunday, and I am so ready to have this little girl :-/ my I know my family means well but I keep getting calls and texts "how are you feeling?" , "Is she here yet?", I will let you know! lol

I think it's a sign, but I'm not 100% sure. Hopefully labor is coming your way soon!

I ended up putting something up on my Facebook account, letting everyone know that this little girl is showing no signs of coming anytime soon and that I'd let everyone know when she's here. It was getting annoying after awhile, lol.

I know what you mean! It seems like my family and friends are becoming more impatient then I am!

Holy crap. I'm glad everything is fine, that's kind of scary though.

I have an appointment tomorrow, I hope I made some progress of some sort.

I'm only 38 weeks and people are already telling me to make her come out as if it actually works that way lol

Actually they have thought that he was going to come early every since I've been 20 weeks...I was on bed rest from 25-35 weeks, I also had two sets of steriod shots for his lungs, also progesterone shots for my cervix (two shots a week from week 16-35 weeks) and was even on hospital bed rest at a hospital that had a NICU...it was a long and hard road but its so much better now that he is here

Sure sounds like it....my labor was some tightening but lots of pain/cramping in my hips and lower stomach...my contractions did start with tightening though..good luck.

yeah same here lol....my SIL predicts i'll go into labor TOMORROW, her husband says the 7th, then I have other relatives hoping for certain dates because it matches their birthday, or Elvis's bday, and my Mom has requested I have the baby on a friday after 12pm or the weekend because she has gone back to school to better her career...I just keep saying "she'll come when she comes!"

I had my 40 week appt. today and it looks as though I am going to have to get a C-section. My baby is still VERY high up and is also in the 99% for size based on last Friday's u/s. I know the u/s can be off by 2 pounds but it just seems like the bad out ways the good when it comes to a healthy delivery if I get induced and try vaginally. Whereas getting a C-section will be a longer recovery for me but he will not have any unforeseen issues. I am going to set a date with my Dr. tomorrow morning but hoping for this Friday! Wish me luck!

Good luck! I have my appointment today and I'm hoping to hear some good news, but I don't think I will.

That is funny...my little guy has an appointment at the hospital for labs (a little jaundice) and another weight done on him.
