I should be excited..

My best friend got engaged tonight. and I'm super excited for her!

except..I can't help but be sorta depressed, I want to be engaged, but I also know me and SO are no where in near in the right place to get married. We need to work on a lot of stuff, and we are trying to, but I dunno..

There was no real point to this, I just needed to get it out there somewhere and definitely didn't want to destroy my friends happy moment, so thanks for reading.

Aw sweetie you are only 18. you have lots of time ahead of you   Live and be young don't rush into it because it only ends bad if you do that. you want your marriage to last long. being engaged young isn't always whats best.

DH and I were together for 4 years before getting married, we needed that time to grow up and figure things out.

It'll be a year and a half for us later this month, and I want to wait till I'm out of college before even think about ACTUALLY getting married. I just..I dunno sometimes I don't feel like he's fully committed (not like he wants out but he just..doesn't try? idk) and I need a sign that he is. and I know a ring doesn't really mean crap, but I dunno..haha.
