6 month old Border Collie or my husband, you can take one or smurf, have both

MIL got the puppy for DH a few days after we brought LO home. DH is soooo picky about the pup, he doesn't want anyone else to play with her or tell her what to do. I said something about taking her to the vet for her shots and he told me to mind my own business. Well, since it's been getting colder she's been stayin in the house, she pisses and smurfs in the kitchen EVERY night. DH does nothing about it except clean it up. He doesn't try to train her at all, if she pisses, he just lets her out. If she rips something up, he does nothing. Then if I do something about it he gets all pissed at me. Well we have a add on inclosed porch that we just built. He wants to start putting her out there, oh yeah, that will be better, that wood isn't sealed so it'll ruin it. He doesn't want to go through the process of kennel training her because he's too smurfing lazy. On top of it if I bring it up he's like, "well I'll just take her out in the hills and shoot her". WTF dude, I don't want you to kill her! I love the dog, she's a good dog. He's just a lazy dog owner. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

OP that sounds annoying as hell. I have no advice except to keep on his ass, and showing him how bad of a job he's doing with a new puppy..

Smurfing makes me want to hit him.

If he won't care for her properly and won't let you care for te dog I would find it a new home and give it away while he's at work or something.

We have fought about her so many times. Oh, and another thing he lets her sit by the table while we eat. Drives me CRAZY  . He just put her in the kennel. He bitched that she would bark all night....hmmm, that's funny, she hasn't barked once.

She's a work dog, she's meant to work cows. He's not even working on that. He leaves her with me, then if she does something good he gets all cocky like HE taught her it. Yeah...that's right  .
