bf and sippy cups

posted 12th Nov
My lo is 7 months old and I'm debating introducing a sippy cup but am worried she may prefer the sippy cup to the breast? What were your experiences? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Piper would never take a bottle, and really didn't like the cup. She has learned to like since I am weaning, lol

My son LOVES sippy cups and we have been giving it to him since 4 1/2 months old with water and he's 5 months old now and is breastfed. When he's hungry, he'll just chew on it instead of drinking the water lol.

Never hurts to try but when it comes down to it though, most breastfed babies before the breast over anything else when they are really hungry or needing the comfort.
