I did all of these at some point, and now my older kids are 9&7 and discipline is rarely needed now.   I plan on doing the same with my 7 month old when he gets older.

Seriously though, it depends on the age. LO is only 13 months right now. I justsay a firm "no" and redirect/distract. When he is older I will talk/warning/time out. As a school aged child, I will most likely get into the loss of privileges and restrictions...depending on the crime.

I throw comet of the bathroom floor and make them scrub it as I am beating them a wire hanger screaming NO WIRE HANGERS!
