when do the doctors start to check you?i was wondering when they would check for dialation...any answers?

Dilate, and every doc is different. Mine checked me at 37 weeks, but some don't check until the mother is in active labor.

it really depends on the doc. Some won't even check until you're in active labor, others will start at 36-37-38 weeks, others won't check until you're overdue.

i think i started getting checked at about 35 weeks with my daughter. but, as i can see, doctors are different. i guess it's up to the dr to decide. at my first check, i was 1/2 cm dilated, lol. she was born 2 weeks later.

I got checked at 34 weeks and I was dialated 2 & 60% effaced and now he continues to check every week! Im so ready! I will be 36 weeks tom!

im 33 weeks.and have a appointment next week but they said they not goin to check until 39 weeks

I was checked at 35 weeks with this one but 36 with my other two. This one she only checked since she was in there doing the gbs test & I had been having irregular contractions. Good thing since I'm already 3 cm & 75% Effaced. Now I have to keep my feet up & relax for a couple weeks to hopefully slow down progression
