How do you make potatoes?

posted 12th Nov
How do you make your mashed potatoes? Mine always come out really plain tasting. I usually add salt, pepper, and milk after they finish cooking. How do you make yours?

I peel and cut the potatoes, add a little bit of water and let them boil in their own starches, then add milk, butter, salt and black pepper and then mash them. They're so yummy and have so much flavor

Salt pepper butter milk..

If I'm feeling crazy after I mash it I'll add sour cream paprika pepper salt milk cheese, and then I'll bake it until golden.

lots of butter, salt, pepper, garlic and some milk for everyday potatoes.

If I am jazzing it, I use cream cheese or sour cream with chives. Sometimes cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles.

Oh wow, I cannot believe I have been leaving out butter. And cream. That will make a huge difference. And how would I add garlic? Do I boil a clove with the potatoes or just mash it together afterwards?
