re: wtf is wrong with my kid's teeth??!!

Some of my son's teeth did this. He is almost 14 and still has a good portion of his baby teeth. They may pull out her baby tooth or leave it. My son's dentist won't pull his. His bio dad had the same thing with all of his top teeth and the dentist pulled all of them out.

Quoting Lillybutt's momma:" That happened to me....I got my permanent 2 front bottom teeth before I lost the baby ones. They eventually came out on their own. I would give her dentist a call and see what they have to say "

yeah, i'm off tomorrow because i have 2 doctor's appointments for myself, so i am going to call again.... i wished they would have been there today, then i could have possibly gotten her in tomorrow without having to take extra time off....

She's 10 now. The back teeth started coming through just before she turned 7. I took her to the Dentist. He let them come through on her own. They ended up pushing the front teeth out, which is what he was looking for. If they hadn't he said he would have had to remove them. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to pay for braces

Quoting Moses.:" It appears to be her adult teeth, being too impatient for her baby tooth to fall out   Being wiggly ... [snip!] ... Our dentist never wanted to pull any of hers when this would happen though, but all of her teeth are in the "normal" positions."

i'm gonna ask my mom, too, and possibly see if my childhood dentist might give some advice. he's always good about not doing stuff unless absolutely necessary.

my friends son is 4 and this happened.. he got a tooth that came in behind one of his baby ones on the bottom... shortly after she found out she was getting ready to call the dentist (it was a friday so they had the weekend) and then his tooth fell out, the dentist just said watch to see , because it could move forward, but that there isn't much they can do (aside from pull the baby tooth if it were still there, or pull the adult tooth if it was causing pain or whatnot)

This happened to my daughter not too long ago (she is almost 6)

Her adult teeth looked massive compared to her baby teeth. Her baby teeth weren't wobbly at all. We booked a dentist appointment right away, had to wait 2 weeks to get in, but by the time we went to the appointment, her tooth was almost out. The dentist pulled it out, so it wasn't too uncomfortable for her. Her 2 adult teeth took up the room of 3 baby teeth. All 3 of those baby teeth have finally fallen out (the last one having fallen out yesterday) the dentist told me her tongue will push them forward.

yeah, i'm wondering if the baby one will fall out before i get her in there, but... i talked to my mom and she said that if i wanted to, i could def ask my dentist from my childhood (in a different state, otherwise my daughter would be going to him anyway, lol) bc he's been a dentist for like 50 yrs and he's seen it all. not that i don't trust her dentist, but i would appreciate a second opinion from him, if it was a situation of them wanting to pull the baby tooth.

They'll only pull the baby tooth if it is causing pain. Otherwise it will eventually fall out itself. They pulled one of my daughts out, because it was almost out anyway, and she couldn't eat properly because it hurt her. But they left the other 2 to wobble out on their own.

i asked my daughter if her teeth hurt and she said no. so... maybe t will be okay. the gums around the new tooth looked red and kind of irritated, but she insisted it didn't hurt. i'm just paranoid and freak out easily, lol.

lol, I freaked out too when I saw my daughters. Both her bottom teeth came up before the baby ones were out. Unfortunately my daughter has a mouth like mine, her teeth will be too big for the size of her mouth, and she will have over crowding. She will need teeth pulled out, and braces put on   so I wasn't too worried about them being crooked, I knew they would eventually get crooked and overcrowded anyway.

it's funny bc the tooth coming in is in the same area of her first tooth! lol. so, it makes sense that this would be the first to fall out and be replaced. haha. i called it her "sweet tooth" because she got her very first tooth on valentine's day, when she was 7 months old.

This happened with both my bottom teeth.

Dentist never pulled anything.

I had braces for two years.

My adult canines grew over top of my baby canines also.
