ttc & wedding planning, wwyd? *poll*

If you are or have been wedding planning and ttc how did that affect you? I am getting married in June and started to think about it today after I noticed that I was supposed to get my period yesterday and didnt. (Fingers crossed but not getting too excited yet) At this point we cant cancel (and have the wedding sooner here) or we would lose our deposits but we do have the option of postponing it (but not moving it up), but idk if I want to do that. If I get my bfp this month (trying not to get my hopes up) I will be due a month after the wedding. What what would you do/what did you do?

Well i was ttc in april and got preggo and I had my wedding in october... A little different than what you are going though... but maybe postpone? You never know what could have a month before you have the baby... I would say just postpone it to a month or two later...

I would probably postpone it. I would hate looking at my pics if I just had a baby. lol. We started ttc about 4 months before our wedding. I didn't want to be any further then that along. Never got pregnant though.

hmm I guess I really need to decide soon then if Im not pregnant because its a destination wedding and people will have to book flights. so maybe if Im not pregnant this cycle, we should wait a cycle or two (or more) so id only be 4-5 months at the wedding if we got it on the first time.

Comes down to affordability n whether u want to be pp in your dress. I was ttc before we renewed our vows but we stopped bc I wanted to fit in my gown n I'd have had to get a new one bc it would fit a baby bump. Maybe if ur not preggo u could try closer to the wedding date so u wouldn't really be showing? But w deposits n all involved no I wouldn't postpone the wedding but the ttc if I could.

If you're traveling also you can't be extremely pregnant and traveling. I would keep that in mind.

If you were to get pregnant now, you would be pregnant at your wedding correct? I selected "keep the date," because i got pregnant after booking my ceremony site and reception site so we didn't cancel ours. The only thing is, i had my baby before we got married. I'd personally postpone if i were pregnant, but that's really your decision.

We postponed when I got pregnant with DD, we weren't TTC she was a surprise but I didnt want to be pregnant for the wedding so we changed it to 6 months after DD was born.

this.. if you are flying, they dont let you fly after 36 weeks and thats according to your doc and if your pregnancy is normal

Ill talk about it with SO but it seems like if Im not pregnant this cycle, we should wait to ttc until I wouldnt be more than 5 months pregnant (the dress could easily fit me still with a few alterations i think, its a poofy ballgown) and if Im pregnant now, def post pone!

I would definitely postpone for all of the above reasons people have been saying. If you are not pregnant this cycle, perhaps you would want to wait until after the wedding? At least you'd be able to drink and party at your own wedding   Plus, you don't know how your body will react to the pregnancy - sickness, nausea, etc. You don't want to risk feeling sick at your wedding and then add flying on top of that.

Maybe you could ask the same venues you have deposits at to move the date. If youre pregnant 4 weeks is cutting it close. I delivered at 36 weeks so if it were me I would have missed the wedding.
Plus at 36 weeks I was miserable, lol

we have thought about totally stopping and waiting but we have been trying so long (on and off) that we dont want to just stop at this point I guess. But at the same time Im so discouraged I dont think it will happen anytime soon so Im not too worried about being pregnant during the wedding
