What do you think?

My son is 4 years old. He goes to JK full day. I had in class observation and a small meeting with the teacher.

She wants to send my son to a place that is like speech therapy but for his letter formations. Apparently he gets frustrated when it comes to sitting down and tracing the letters and she thinks it's a big issue....

Idk what to think about it. I didn't even know they had that kind of thing......

If I knew it was a problem I would see no issue with the teacher wanting an early intervention for help.

I'd see if you can learn more about it. Is it like a special extra thing, or is it in place of the school?

Most of the time I think that smaller groupings like that are good. They can really help kids. However, that isn't always the case. Back in the day when I was in school, the made the left handed people sit separately during the writing parts to work with someone else. That sucked and there was really no reason for it. So it can do both ways.

That seems odd to me. Of course he get frustrated having to sit and trace letters, he's 4 and has a limited attention span. Which is totally normal.

Yeah, we are going to bring him to it. I just never heard of this kind of thing before and was wondering if anyone else gone through this.
