Nipple shaped pacis, maybe nuk? Help :(
posted 12th Nov
My daughter won't take a paci but she's started 'feeding' to sleep. She's bottle fed but I use the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles. Is there a dummy designed to mimic nipples or bfing somehow?? I've tried a few different dummies but they're all different shaped to her bottle teat
I want one that's round and maybe long like her bottle teats not funny orthodontic shaped ones, she just spits them out but she'll suck her bottle even when it's empty and shell suck my finger
What shape are nuk ones, I've heard good things about them but I can't find any pictures of the actual paci teat to see what shape it is

I heard good things about nuk too but then I tried it for my DD because she would not take a paci, and nope she didn't like that one either. I have tried soo many pacis for her and she wanted nothing to do with any of them lol. Shes fully breastfed too.

My DD is the same way, has been since birth. Shes 6 months now feeds to sleep. Ive tried different brands including nuk, different shapes and sizes and she spits them all out. Ive got about 15 pacis and she wouldnt/wont take even 1 of them.

We use Avent Soothies, DS wouldn't take the orthodontic ones either.

You could try natursutten. It's one piece made of natural rubber. They have 2 diff nipple shapes, ortho and round. My bf babies like it because it has a very large & soft mouth guard that pushes up against their face, like a boobie.

I've tried avent, TT silicone and latex but they have the same shape as avent so she wouldn't take those, TT C2N they're orthadontic she won't take them, I can't find NUK round ones here.
There MAM but I can't find a clear picture of the teat shape on that, I think that's all that's left to try. Maybe she's just not a paci baby, my other 2 were, they took any kind lol.

MAM is great! The nipples are super soft. It's the only bottle my son will take also (and paci)

my son absolutely hates pacifiers. i started trying to give him one around 4 weeks, and now hes almost 4 months and still will not take it. sometimes (though very rarely) if i hold it in his mouth for a minute he'll suck on it but he spits it out again after like no more than a minute. i hate it, i mean i know its good because ive heard it can be extremely hard to get kids off their pacifiers when they get older, but for the moment its very frustrating for when hes fussing.
anyway, ive tried all kinds of pacifiers to see if he'll take any and the only one he will take AT ALL is NUK ones. he also will only use NUK bottles so i prefer those to other brands.
