I had one of them done and the cryo hurt way worse. My dr. was pretty good at the biopsys so it didn't really hurt, the bleeding was the worse part though.

if mine didnt start getting better..which thank god it did.. she said there was a good chance i would have to have either a cone biopsy or leap done....

My husbands best friends cusin, in her 20s just died from cervical cancer this summer 

The best case scenerio if the bad cells come back is that you'll need a more invasive removal done. That's why it's every 6 months. If you're planning on having any more kids, them removing chunks of your cervix isn't a good thing and you want to minimize how much damage they have to do to keep you healthy. Also if you let it go far enough to turn into full blown cancer, well .... you know the rest. Time to be a grown up.

it can ake years, but it can also take months. it depends. that is why they want you to be checked so often. really it is in your best interest to be seen at least every 6 months. i am sorry that you have it and it is a pain in the but to have to go in so often. but cancer would be way worse. take care of yourself so that you are around for your little one.
