Can't stand my 2 year old! :(

posted 12th Nov
I'm very frustrated with my 2 year old daughter that I want to bawl my eyes out. I love her to death but she is pissing me off to the extreme today. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and today I cleaned the house and as soon as I sat down to relax she put something in the toilet that made it flood out the whole bathroom, threw her toys all over the floor again, and she keeps telling me what to do.
Is this normal to want to smack her in the rear and lock her in her room? I've never been this irritated with her and I'm feeling like a bad mom for wanting to be alone and not wanting her around.

I've felt like that before. A little pop on the behind with my hand has happened. I have given up on keeping my trailer clean at all though. I do what I can and the rest, oh well.

You are not a terrible mom, please do not think that! You are full of raging hormones to start with, I know I am on edge every day when I wake up as it is let alone if my day goes bad! You worked your butt off to get the house clean just to feel like it was all for nothing, your frustration and annoyance is totally understandable! Do you have family or friends nearby who might be able to take her for an hour or two sometimes during the week so you can get a small break and time to yourself before your new baby comes? I think that would help a lot

My patience get much shorter when I'm pregnant. When I was expecting my daughter, my son drove me crazy, now this pregnancy my daughter is drivin me crazy. I just don't have the energy to chase and guide every freaking move they make. YOull feel better soon! Lol

I don't have any children, I'm pregnant now, but I was a nanny and a teacher.. It is normal you just need to take breaks while she's napping or eating.. Make it a game to have her help you clean up.. Or put her in the room with her door open with a baby gate and let her just play..

Just try to relax. Although I totally know how you feel LOL. Just don't stress too much about the toys..she needs something to keep her entertained! The toilet thing..well I'm sorry haha. Just remind yourself that she is ONLY 2 and will do these things. Have you tried timeouts?

Haha, what a joke. I would take my 2 yr old over a 3 yr old any day of the week.

Seriously. I though DS was a terror at 2... 3 hit and I wanted my 2 year old back. 4.5 and he is finally starting to mellow out.

Same here lol. Our family calls it Triple Terrible Threes for a reason! ;)

OP: As others have said this is normal. For the toilet issues perhaps keep the bathroom door closed, or invest in a baby gate.
